Fishing
Clayoquot Sound offers year round fishing for salmon, trout and steelhead. This area features countless unspoiled bodies of water. Offshore fishing during the summer months can found abundant halibut in the 20-60 pound range. Bottom fishing for rockfish can be excellent, as is sport harvesting of shellfish and crab.
The best times for halibut and salmon fishing off the west coast of Vancouver Island are from May to September, offering the best weather and fishing conditions. Regulations, open areas and possession limits change through out the season.
